What is the difference in Standard or Shorter Bases?
The starting height of the seat is 62cm from the ground, finishing at 78cm for our standard base. Our shorter base height is 55cm from the ground, finishing at 64cm. We advise people under 5'7" who need access to the top of someones head (barber, hairdresser, stylist) to opt for our shorter base.
What is maximum weight capacity the chair can hold?
We advise no more than 19stone/121kg/270lbs – Customers have reported “If they can fit in it, it holds just fine.” With some of their clients exceeding 300lbs.
Is the transport case included in the price of the chair?
Yes, absolutely. This is the fundamental aspect of safely transporting your beautiful clever chair.
How do I personalise my headrest?
Once you have added this product to your basket and checked out, email info@purcychair.com with your order number and design/logo in high resolution PNG format. Please note there is a 18 working-day lead time on personalised headrest sleeves from the date of receiving your logo. You can install your sleeve at any time.
Do you ship to my country?
We ship globally via DHL Express and have most countries in the world covered. Please proceed to the checkout with full delivery information to get an accurate shipping quote. Contact us if your country is not showing at the checkout.
I’m trying to use a finance option provided by a third-party merchant, but it's not working?
Each finance provider sets varied credit limits to different countries and people. Please email us if you are having an issue and we will look into it further for you.
How long does it take to assemble/disassemble?
With quick practice you will be able to achieve this in under 90 seconds.Initially at the start, no more than 2/3 minutes.
Can someone small assemble the chair on their own?
Most definitely. The heaviest part is the base, this is why this has it’s own separate case. Once you have set up the base, all the other parts are very easy to handle and install.
Can I carry out wet shaves in the chair?
Yes. We have tested this service many times, it was developed with this type of service in mind. The chair reclines to 126 Degrees.
What can I clean the upholstery with?
We recommend our bespoke cleaning spray, it’s been formulated specifically for cleaning and protecting the upholstery. If you don’t wish to use this product, use a damp cloth with water, no other cleaning product.
Can I buy the chair without the case?
Unfortunately, this isn’t something we’re currently offering, and we would advise against professionals transporting the chair in other ways to prevent personal injury or damage to the chair.
Will the case fit In my car boot?
Yes. We have tested it in what we believe to be the smallest car boot – a ‘Fortwo Smart car’.
Can I use a chair as my salon chair as well as a mobile chair?
Absolutely, we have carried out stringent testing (ANSI/BIFMA) to ensure a robust and safe build and design.
How easy is the chair and case to transport?
The robust telescopic handle and 4x 360 oscillating wheels allow for smooth transport, fitting through doorways with ease.
What are the dimensions of the chair?
The dimensions for the chair assembled are as follows:
- Width (arm rest to arm rest) = 67cm
- Height (without head rest on) = 107cm
- Depth (front seat to back of backrest) = 48cm
The legs splay to 80cm front and back.
How big are the cases that store the chair?
- Larger case: 60cm x 86cm x 42cm
- Smaller case: 34cm x 51cm x 27cm
Can I purchase spare parts for my chair?
Yes, simply email customer service at help@purcychair.com and tell us which part/s you need.

Will I have to pay duties?
If you are purchasing from outside of the UK. There is a chance you will have to pay some duties on your goods. We do everything we can to minimise this, but we cannot calculate this for you. The commodity code for our chairs is: 94021000. Manufactured in Poland.
